Kitty Litter Cake

By no means could I deprive this one of my attention, no matter how gross this one is! I would call it a moist chocolate cake where the word “moist” refers to “chocolate”:) So, if you need to

  • please your best enemy;
  • insult your worst friend;
  • explode the brain of your cat loving friend;
  • make sure the guests won’t eat too much of your supplies during the next party;
  • remind your mother-in-law how much you love and respect her;
  • express to your neighbors how much you welcome their cats or dogs in your garden;
  • fix an elegant Halloween treat;

or just adore your cat and every aspect of it, than you need to make this gross looking but great tasting Kitty Litter Cake!

The classic recipe runs as follows:

Ingredients

  • 1 spice or German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 white cake mix
  • 1 large pkg vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 pkg vanilla sandwich cookies
  • Green food coloring (optional, I don’t use it for I think it kills the whole natural beauty)
  • 11 small Tootsie Rolls (you may use as many as you want to satisfy your aesthetic needs)

Utensils (preferably NEW ones!!!)

  • 1 cat-litter box
  • 1 cat-litter box liner (optional)
  • 1 pooper scooper

Directions

  • Bake cake mixes according to directions and chill them
  • Prepare pudding mix and let it chill.
  • Crumble cookies in a blender or food processor
  • Take 1 cup of cookie crumbles and add a few drops of green food coloring (this is optional) and mix or shake well.
  • Crumble the cooled cakes into a large bowl.
  • Toss the cake with half of the remaining (not colored) cookie crumbs
  • Add the mix to the pudding to make the mixture moist, but not let it be soggy.
  • Place the new liner in the new litter box and put in the mixture.
  • Teat the Tootsie Rolls in a microwave to make them soft (not melted( - this is 10 about sec.
  • Curve and pint the blunt ends of Tootsie Rolls. It is preferably to make several sessions with 3 Rolls in each so as not to let sone of them get stiff while you are “sculpturing” the others.
  • Bury the rolls decoratively in the mixture.
  • Sprinkle remaining white cookie crumbs then the green ones over the mixture.
  • Heat a few more Tootsie Rolls until almost melted (may take about 20 sec) and decorate the top of the cake
  • For a stronger aesthetic effect you may hang some melted Rolls on the edges of the box (as though someone was in a hurry getting out)
  • Serve with litter scooper, used newspaper as a table-cloth

And don’t even dare to think of making it for you girl- or boyfriend as a joke for you may be seriously misunderstood!

P.S.My cat was seriously puzzled with this cake: the stuff looks familiar but smell absolutely strange!
